Scores of illegal Afghan immigrants, suspects arrested in Balochistan raids: ISPR

RAWALPINDI: Frontier Corps (FC) Balochistan has stepped up its anti-terror operations across the province under recently initiated Khushal Balochistan Programme, said Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in a statement on Friday.

According to the Pak Army’s media wing, scores of illegal Afghan immigrants and suspected miscreants were arrested during the raids carried out in various districts of the province.

FC personnel recovered home-made IEDs, explosives, besides huge cache of arms and ammunition during the raids, the statement said.

The raids were conducted against unscrupulous elements in Sui, Mastung, Barkhan, Loralai and Muslim Bagh areas of the province, the statement added.

It merits mentioning here that the ‘Khushal Balochistan’ programme was recently initiated, which aimed to bring political and economic stability in the province through socioeconomic development and security.
