Afghanistan preparing for Under-19 World-Cup 2014 in Lahore

LAHORE: Afghanistan's Under-19 cricket team has started the practice in National Cricket Academy, Lahore for the ICC Under-19 tournament in the UAE, which will start on February 14, ARY News reported.

The Afghans is on the visit of three weeks of training. Afghanistan will also play eight practice matches against different teams, including three against Pakistan Under-19 at Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium.

Afghanistan will face Australia, Bangladesh and Namibia in the group stage of the tournament and will be hoping for a better show than in 2012 when they won only one match and failed to qualify for the knockout stages.

2014 Under-19 World-Cup will be held in Dubai (U.A.E) in 2014. It will be the first time that U.A.E will host an ICC event.
