According to details, Tanzeemat-e-Ahl-e-Sunnat on Tuesday held a rally in Faisalabad in protest over a ban on the recitation of Darood o Salam on loudspeakers.
On the occasion, workers of these parties forced shut shops and businesses in Jhang and Anarkali bazaars, during which the protesters also clashed with traders resisting the closure of their businesses.
The CPO Faisalabad while taking notice of the unrest ordered for the registration of cases against the ones behind the forced closure of shops.
He directed the concerned station house officers (SHOs) to identify the miscreants and to take strict legal action against them.
On the other hand, Punjab government eventually issued a notification lifting the ban on the recitation of Darood o Salam on loudspeakers.
