ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Senator, Aitzaz Ahsan has said that he can see nothing but, Government's retreat from negotiations with Taliban, whilst Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PMLN) leader, Mushahidullah Khan has claimed that Taliban admit the constitution of Pakistan – ARY News reports.
Expressing his views on the ongoing negotiations between the Government and Taliban committee, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan said that it seems as if Taliban are negotiating with Taliban. He added that he cannot see anything but, a clear retreat of the Government from ongoing peace talks with the banned militant outfit.
Meanwhile, Senator Mushahidullah Khan jumped in, saying whatever Taliban say apparently, they however admit Pakistan and its constitution.
He criticized the PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan, mentioning that the PPP government during its reign negotiated with Sufi Muhammad in Swat after making countless requests, yet its members are now lambasting the current Government for doing so.
