Aitzaz seeks military away from peace talks
LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader, Senator Aitzaz Ahsan has said that the military should not be included in negotiations with Taliban – ARY News reports.
Talking to media at the Lahore High Court (LHC) Bar, Aitzaz Ahsan said that Pakistan Army should not come at the table of talks between the Government and Taliban.
While lashing out at Jamat e Islami (JI), he inquired that if JI does not admit the martyrs of Pakistan Army, then why it wishes to take military on-board regarding negotiations with Taliban.
Aitzaz also criticized the Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Imran Khan, saying that whether he is with the army or Taliban, this is something which Imran Khan has to decide himself.
