AJK’s people standing behind Pakistan armed forces: Masood Khan
ISLAMABAD: President Azad and Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Masood Khan said the defence of Pakistan and the AJK was in the strong hands of Pakistan Army, ARY News reported on Wednesday.
In a Twitter post, Khan paid tribute to the Pakistan armed forces for shooting down Indian jets that intruded into the Pakistan airspace.
He said the people of AJK were standing by Pakistan and its armed forces. Masood Khan wrote: “Today by decisive action in the air and across LOC, Pakistan demonstrates its proven capability to defend itself. The people of AJK – from Neelam o Bhimber – stand behind Pakistan and armed forces. AJK is Pakistan’s defensive rampart. India will not be allowed to breach it.”
He stressed that every child of Azad Kashmir was ready to render sacrifice of his life for his country. “The Pakistan Army is strongly capable of defending every nook and corner of the country.”
He called upon India not to misconstrue Pakistan’s and Kashmiris call for peace as their weakness. He said India must immediately stop terrorist against Pakistan.
Of Feb 24, Khan had warned India to refrain from any misadventure as it could push the entire region towards war.
Addressing a joint news conference along with former Norwegian Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik, Sardar Masood Khan said that India would also be burnt into ashes if it initiated the fire of war. He said that dialogues were the only solution to Kashmir issue.
The president said that India had been trying to suppress the Kashmiris just struggle for self determination and committing grave human rights violations in the occupied valley.
