KARACHI: Offspinner Saeed Ajmal has surpassed his team mate Umar Gul to become the leading wicket taker in Twenty20 International with 76 matches, ARY News reported on Saturday.
‘Doosra’ specialist Saeed Ajmal attained the number one spot in the list of leading wicket taker for T20 after taking the wicket of South African batsman Hashim Amla in the second T20 at Dubai.
The top three positions for the leading wicket taker has been acquired by Pakistani bowlers as Saeed Ajmal is at No.1 followed by Umar Gul and Shahid Afridi at second and third with 74 and 67 wickets respectively.
Furthermore, it is expected that Worcestershire may signed Saeed Ajmal back to New Road for the 2014 season.
Ajmal previously represented the county in 2011, taking 16 wickets in eight Twenty20 appearances and 17 in three Championship matches.
