Akmal no more entangled in warden assault case after apology
LAHORE: Pakistan cricketer Umar Akmal must have heaved a sigh of relief when his father tendered unconditional apology in a warden assault case and consequently the traffic sergeant concerned withdrew his case, ARY News reported on Thursday.
Father of Umar Akmal met traffic warden, Zeeshan, in presence of DIG Investigation Zulfikar Haider, CTO Sohail Chaudhary and SP CIA Umar Warak and tendered unconditional apology on behalf of his son.
In reply, the traffic warden accepted the apology and withdrew his case. Akmal’s father said a misunderstanding led to an altercation between the warden and Akmal, which had now been resolved.
