Akshay Kumar and Sidhart Malhotra’s upcoming film Brothers has captivated everyone instantly. The intense trailer, featuring the two muscular, rugged chaps stopping at nothing to deliver power packed punches.
What sets this movie apart is the fact that Brothers is a martial arts and kickboxing flick. Much inspired (if not almost all of it) from the acclaimed Hollywood film Warrior (which starred Tom Hardy and Nick Nolte), Brothers is the tale of two brothers, between whom things are not exactly hunky dory. Jackie Shroff plays the father of the two estranged brothers and also as trainer to one of them. Throughout the trailer, we see various contenders step into the ring in a bid to win the mixed martial arts competition and bag the huge purse.
Akshay Kumar plays David Fernandez whereas Sidharth Malhotra plays Monty Fernandez, two brothers who ultimately might square off against each other in the fighting competition. The trailer hints towards some tragedy that inflicts David’s daughter, causing him to enter the competition. Sri Lankan beauty and prominent Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez also has a key role in the film. Produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Karan Malhotra, Brothers is all set to enchant audiences when it finally released and we got a taste of what the response would like, when the trailer of the film garnered an impressive one million views in just nine hours after its release!
