Her first film this year, Highway was a superhit, followed by 2 STATES which is also slowly but surely making it to the 100 crore club, and Alia Bhatt is on top of the world. She has every reason to smile and celebrate. The actress, who has had a couple of sleepless nights this year so far, is now planning to go on a nice, long break, her first destination being Europe.
“Yes, I am going on a holiday to Paris and London. I would be accompanied by my mother and sister,” confirmed Alia. “I want to get back to my normal life for a few days at the least,” she adds, “Once I return, I would resume shooting of HUMPTY SHARMA KI DULHANIYA with Varun Dhawan”.
The young Bhatt, who once faced the threat of being written off post STUDENT OF THE YEAR, is finally relieved, and is basking in the success of her hard work.
“Well, it is not redemption per se but yes, I have managed to change perception of few people in the industry and audience in general. Now that’s satisfactory because a lot was written about me after STUDENT OF THE YEAR. It was said that I was not cut out to be an actor and was just there as a pretty face. I thought about it and knew that the only way I could prove them wrong was through my work. So I put all my effort during HIGHWAY and 2 STATES, both of which were totally different films. I am glad to be seen in a different light now,” she quips.
