All eyes on World Cup, says Waqar

LAHORE: Pakistan team coach and former captain Waqar Younis all upcoming series were vital, however the team’s core target is World Cup, ARY News reported Tuesday.

Talking to media at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Younis said all series to be played ahead of World Cup were important. Such bilateral series cannot be neglected, he added.

He reiterated that there was no dearth of talent in Pakistan team. We have enough time for World Cup preparation, he said, adding the team would try best to overcome its flaws.

Younis said fielding and fitness were two areas where he had always focused. The coach said he would endevaour not to repeat past mistakes. I have taken the coaching reins of Pakistan team spirit and I hope team to produce intended results, said the ex-captain of Pakistan.
