All talks about my retirement are baseless, tweets Afridi

KARACHI: Pakistan’s Twenty20 skipper Shahid Afridi stated that the talks regarding his retirement are baseless, ARY News reported.

In his tweet, Afridi said that he is currently focusing on the Asia Cup Twenty20 and will decide later.

He went on to state that only he will make his career decisions keeping in mind what is good for the country and its people.

Afridi, in an interview to ESPNcricinfo earlier, said that he is being pressurized by his family and friends to not hang up his bat from T20 cricket.

The cricketer had announced his intention to retire from international cricket after the 2016 World T20 in India.
