KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain has said that extrajudicial killing of his party workers is being carried and appealed Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif to take notice of this injustice, ARY News reported.
Addressing to MQM supporters via telephonic call on Sunday, Altaf Hussain said that peace is the utmost requirement of Sindh and it shouldn't be turned into a battle field.
MQM Chief appealed Chief Justice of Pakistan Tassaduq Hussain Jillani to provide justice to MQM. He asked COAS and DG ISI (Inter Services Intelligence) Zaheer ul Islam to take notice of the situation.
Altaf Hussain said the MQM and the Urdu speaking community are patriotic and have been standing along with Pakistan Army but they have been subjected to injustices.
He declared Sindh Police responsible for torturing MQM workers through a negative propaganda alleging them as extortionist and killers.
Altaf Hussain said that he always supported co-chairman of Pakistan’s People Party, Asif Ali Zardari in the time of distress despite being abused by his friend Zulfiqar Mirza, who labeled Mohajirs as traitors.
Replying to the query of a media man, Altaf Hussain said MQM will observe patience keeping hope with Almighty Allah, if Army doesn’t entertain his request.
