Altaf appeals Nawaz, Qaim to impose emergency ahead of rainy season

KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has appealed Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and Chief Minister of Sindh Qaim Ali Shah to impose emergency across Sindh ahead of the monsoon season, ARY News reports.

In a statement, Altaf Hussain has said that Local Bodies Elections should be held immediately in Sindh in order to solve the issues of water supply, sewerage and sanitation.

“Karachi has been deprived off a local government despite being a metropolitan city”, MQM Chief said.

Altaf Hussain has also urged the Premier and CM Sindh to provide facilities for curbing the sewerage problems. He also added that funds should also be issued immediately for curbing the problems occurring in the monsoon season.
