Altaf Hussain appeals every citizen for restraint and patience
KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has appealed to the people of Pakistan to remain calm and to maintain peace in order to foil the conspiracies of violence, ARY News reported.
In a statement, Altaf Hussain has expressed sorrow and grief over the loss of lives and properties in the sectarian riot in Rawalpindi on Ashura.
MQM Chief urged on maintaining sectarian harmony and requested every citizens of Pakistan to observe restraint and patience and not to respond to provocation.
He made an appeal to scholars and elders of both sects to come forward and work to stop sectarian violence.
Altaf Hussain advised MQM Parliamentary members to held meeting with Ulema of every sect to maintain peace and harmony among them.
