LONDON: Altaf Hussain, Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), expressed grief over the death of renowned folk singer Reshma in London on Sunday – ARY News reports.
While issuing a condolence, Altaf Hussain stated that the singer held a unique status in the world of music and her unique singing was popular throughout the world.
He further said that her death has saddened her fans around the world. Altaf Hussain further said that the world has lost a universal figure and will be difficult to fulfill that loss.
Altaf Hussain urged the singers to work hard and and learn the style of music like Reshma.
MQM Chief demanded the Federal Government of Pakistan to award the Pride of Performance award to Reshma and provide financial assistance to her family.
He expressed his condolences and sympathy to the family of the singer and prayed to Allah to provide eternal paradise and grant patience to the family to bear the loss.
