Altaf Hussain holds prayer ceremony on daughter’s birthday
LONDON: Altaf Hussain, Chairman of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), turned the birthday celebrations of his daughter Afza Altaf into a special prayer ceremony due to the ongoing situation in Pakistan, ARY News reports on Friday.
Afza Altaf turned 12 years old yesterday.
Addressing the occasion at MQM International secretariat here at London, Altaf Hussain said that he has instructed all the members of MQM to turn the birthday celebrations into prayer ceremonies. He added that special prayers should be held for the security officials, MQM workers and the Pakistani nation.
He advised the children, who had gathered on the occasion, to pay attention on their studies as it turns them into a good person and gives them a respectable position in the society.
Deputy Convener of MQM Raabta Committee (RC) Nadeem Nusrat, Provincial and National Assembly members of MQM, members of the secretariat, family of Altaf Hussain and large number of children attended the gathering.
