Altaf Hussain invites Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri in ‘Sufiya e Ikram Conference’

KARACHI: Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Altaf Hussain discussed the overall security of the country, terrorism, religious hatred, sectarianism and some other issues with chief Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT), Dr Tahir-ul-Qadri via telephonic call on Monday, ARY News reported.

Altaf Hussain suggested to highlight the role of religious scholars and Ulemas’ in order to eliminate religious extremism in the country as well as to promote moderation.      

MQM Chief informed that his party is going to organize a ‘Sufiya e Ikram Conference’ in Lahore on March 9, for this purpose.        

He invited Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri and his associates in the conference.         

Meanwhile, Chief of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran (TUQ), Tahir –ul-Qadri welcomed the staging Sufiya e Ikram Conference to highlight the services of Sufi saints and religious scholars.              

Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri assured that Minhajul Quran’s Ulema Council and its related wings will attend the conference.
