Altaf Hussain's speech was presented out of context, says Khalid Maqbool

KARACHI: Member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s (MQM) Rabitta Committee Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on Saturday that party Chief Altaf Hussain wasn’t demanded the break of Sindh but his speech was presented out of context, ARY News reported.

Addressing a press conference in Karachi on Saturday, Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said that previously Asfandyar Wali Khan of Awami National Party (ANP) on the issue of Kala Bagh Dam and Siraj ul Haq of Jamat-e-Islami (JI) over the right of his province asked for the disintegration of the country but no voice was raised against them.

Furthermore, MQM leader Dr Farooq Sattar claimed that Sindh government trying to spread hatred between the two major units. He said that Urdu speaking community of Sindh is being treated inappropriately like of step mother.

MQM leader said that delimitations of constituencies by Sindh government of their own choice has hurt the MQM’s mandate.
