ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister, Senator Pervez Rasheed has said that the Chief of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has been issued Pakistani passport and national identity card (NIC) – ARY News reports.

While praying for speedy recovery of the MQM Chief, Pervez Rasheed told on Thursday that Altaf Hussain has been issued Pakistani passport and NIC.

On the other hand MQM leader, Wasay Jalil has negated the claim of the Information Minister and said that the passport and identity card of the MQM Chief have not yet been received.

He told that nothing like a passport or identity card has been received at the residence of Altaf Hussain, in London.

MQM had been demanding the Government of Pakistan to provide passport and identity card to Altaf Hussain, and it also protested in the National Assembly (NA) and the Senate over non-issuance of these documents, despite repeated requests made.
