Altaf may not exhibit patience on PAT, govt stand-off any further: Ebad

ISLAMABAD: The Governor of Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad has said that currently a deadlock is still persisting, while he urged the government to accept the justified demands of the chief of Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr Tahirul Qadri, ARY News reported.

Governor Sindh, Dr Ishratul Ebad along with Punjab Governor, Chaudhry Muhammad Sarwar held a prolonged meeting with Dr Tahirul Qadri and facilitated talks with the government.

Addressing the participants of the protest sit-in after the meeting, Ebad first of all expressed solidarity with them and told that the chief Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain is also awaken for past many days and is equally worried at the situation.

He added, “The MQM chief is demonstrating patience and stressing both the sides to resolve issue through talks, for several days, but he may not be able to exhibit this patience any further”.

The Governor Sindh said a deadlock is still persisting between the PAT and the government, while efforts are continued to defuse tensions.

He urged the government to accept justified demands of Dr Tahirul Qadri.
