Altaf says efforts being made to defame MQM
In his reaction to Rangers’ report about an alleged target-killer Umair Siddiqui – an activist of MQM, Altaf Hussain said that it is the same approach which was there in 1992.
He said that he does not know Umair Siddiqui and demanded for holding his trial in an open court, so that his statement could be comprehended.
The MQM chief slammed that only MQM is being targeted in the entire country, while no action is being taken against the members of Jamaat e Islami (JI), from whom some al-Qaeda and Taliban affiliates were recovered.
He added that he has no hopes with the Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif under the present situation.
Hussain demanded the chief minister of Sindh to swear upon the Holy Quran and tell that he was aware of the raid at Nine Zero.
The MQM chief accused that his nephew is being subjected to worst torture.
Moreover, he said that he had not sacked Anees Qaimkhani and Hammad Siddiqui for their involvement in target-killing, the Raabita (Coordination) Committee was suspended for its involvement in ‘illegal acts’.
