Sunday’s Lahore bomb blast killed more than seventy people, including women and children. The incident drew emotional responses and condemnations from the whole world, including famous personalities. The New Yorker cartoonist, writer and speaker Liza Donnelly was also horrified with the tragedy. She chose to capture the sad incident through a cartoon which she drew and shared on micro-blogging site Twitter.
The cartoon features a child’s corpse wrapped up in Pakistan’s flag with a grieving mother beside him. The cartoon drew emotional responses from Pakistani Twitterati, who mostly thanked Donnelly for drawing something so apt to capture the wounded feelings of the nation.
