LAHORE: Pakistani pacer Mohammad Amir will not be playing the third one-dayer against West Indies as he is returning home to attend to his ailing mother, ARY News reported on Tuesday.

According to reports, Mohammad Amir’s mother is seriously ill and the pacer is on his way back home to look after her.

He will be replaced by Mohammad Hafeez for the third match of the series on Wednesday (tomorrow).

It can be said that Amir is doubtful for the test series as well.

The Pakistan side has already won the three-match ODI series 2-0 and will be playing to clean sweep the Twenty20 champions and secure the eighth spot in the rankings.

The left-armer did not represent Pakistan in the first two Twenty20 internationals whereas he went wicket-less in the third T20.

Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has given the go-ahead to the pacer to return home.
