Amitabh, Aamir prefer Bollywood over Hollywood

TOP NEWS

At the launch of Vidhu VInod Chopra’s Hollywood debut venture ‘Broken Horses’ the two stars spoke at length about their views as regards to working in a Hollywood movie if given the chance.  Amitabh made it quite clear which side of the fence he was on, if asked to choose a movie belonging to one of the two film industries.
“If I get an opportunity to choose a film between Hollywood and an Indian film, then I will choose our country’s film,” he stated. The legendary actor has previously guest starred in the Leonardo DiCaprio hit movie The Great Gatsby.

Aamir divulged more into the details when he spoke about his ambitions for Hollywood, if he had any. “I have a strong relationship with my country and the people of India and that is never going to break. I will always work here but if I get something good wherever in China or America or Japan then I may work but emotionally I am always here and I will work here only,” stated the Ghajini star. Aamir further stated that he had recived a number of offers, none of which failed to spike his interest. The versatile actor stated that in order for him to give his assent to a project, it must firs tbe creatively acceptable to him. “Language has been never an issue or a problem for me. I have to get attracted to the creative material first. Yes, I have to know the language. But none of the offers were exciting,” said Aamir.

Broken Horses has been written, directed and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie is about gang violence and is set on the US-Mexico border. The film features Maria Valverde, Thomas Jane, Anton Yelchin, Vincent D’Onofrio among others.

It is heartwarming to note that actors from the Bollywood film industry are keen to stay where they are and not abandon their native fans for greener pastures.
