Amitabh made his comeback when he went bankrupt

The great actor of Bollywood who has proved his mettle even at the age of 60’s with his outstanding performances in films like Paa, Cheeni Kum and Black says that there was a time when he went bankrupt and his passion for acting emerged him from that verge of bankrupcy.

The 72-year-old actor and Shahenshah of bollywood, ruled the industry in his peak time and made his comeback to silver screen through ‘Mohabbatein’ in 2000. The actor said in a session of Agenda Aaj Tak that when his company Amitabh Bachchan Corporation Ltd lend him into financial mess, he went bankrupt and had no hope to emerge.

While sharing his story the actor said “When you are in such a problem, you don’t sleep at night. On one such night, I asked myself ‘Who I am’ and realised that I came here to act and should stick to it,” The actor said the next morning he went to his friend and companion Yash Chopra and told him that neither he has money nor work and that marked his revival in the industry when Yash Chopra offered him ‘Mohabbatein’.

The actor said that his passion and focus for his work brought him out of such hectic days of his life and that is the reason behind the his never ending charisma.
