ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister, Nawaz Sharif while taking notice of police torture on Amna Masood Janjua and other protestors, has ordered the authorities to release them at the earliest and to take a strict action against those responsible of the incident – ARY News reports.
In a statement issued by the PM House, the Prime Minister while taking notice of the police torture on the participants of a rally at the D-Chowk Islamabad, taken out for the recovery of missing persons, expressed extreme annoyance and said that every Pakistani has a democratic right of protesting peacefully and no one can be deprived of this right.
He ordered for immediate release of the arrested protestors and said that manhandling of protestors by police cannot be accepted at all.
PM Nawaz Sharif directed the authorities to take a strict action against the ones responsible of the incident.
On the other hand, Amna Masood Janjua and other protestors have been released after the PM orders.
