Andy Murray out of Indian Wells after Milos Raonic defeat

TOP NEWS

CALIFORNIA: Briton Tennis star Andy Murray has suffered a defeat from Milos Raonic by 4-6, 7-5, 6-3 at Indian Wells in California, ARY News reported.

The big-serving Canadian, 23, progressed to the last eight with a 4-6 7-5 6-3 win over the Wimbledon champion in California.

It is Raonic's third victory in four meetings with the British number one.

Raonic will face Rafael Nadal's conqueror Alexandr Dolgopolov of Ukraine in the quarter-finals.

Murray has been without his coach Ivan Lendl – no fan of Indian Wells – at this event. But they will at least be reunited next week at the Sony Open, where Murray is defending 1000 rankings points after lifting the title last year. Crandon Park is home territory for him, after a fashion. Perhaps that could be the cue for an revival of fortune.
