ANF arrests 12 peddlers for selling drugs to students

RAWALPINDI: The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) has apprehended at least 12 drug peddlers in different raids across the country.

According to ANF statement, 12 drug suppliers were arrested and over four kilograms of drugs were confiscated — consisting of 4.15kg hashish, 270g heroin, 80g opium, 25g Ice and 80g Ecstasy powder — worth more than Rs6 million.

The arrests were made under the freshly launched countrywide special drive for apprehension of drug peddlers involved in supply of drugs to students in educational institutions.

The operations were carried out in Rawalpindi, Islam­abad, Karachi, Multan, Peshawar and other main cities of the country.

The ANF said investigations against the peddlers had been launched.
