Another minor dies in Tharparkar – death toll reaches 30

MITHI: A minor girl died in Tharparkar due to famine and outbreak of water-borne diseases in the district, talking total number of deaths in last two weeks to 30, ARY News reported.

The death toll due to provincial government negligence over famine and water-borne diseases in desert region of Sindh has risen to 30 in last two weeks.

A two-year-old girl died at Mithi hospital today.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah chaired a meeting in this regard and decided to increase budget of Thar hospitals and free distribution of wheat among the locals.

Last week, three children were transferred to Hyderabad in a precarious condition.

Chairman Pakistan People’s Party Bilawal Bhutto has constituted a committee comprising information adviser Moula Bux Chandio and food minister Nasir Shah to look into the situation in Thar.
