ANP protest against PSF worker’s killing triggers snarl-up
KARACHI: The activists of Awami National Party (ANP) staged protest demonstration on a road opposite Al-Asif Square, Sohrab Goth, against killing of the Pakhtoon Students Federation worker in an alleged police encounter, ARY News reported on Sunday.
After offering funeral prayers of the slain PSF worker Shah Kalam, the ANP workers carried Kalam's body in the protest and shouted slogans against law enforcement officials. They said Kalam was a trader and police shot him dead on pretext of being a dacoit.
The protesters demanded the chief minister Sindh to take notice of the incident and suspend SHOs of Sohrab Goth and Gulzar Hijri police stations.
The protest also led to traffic gridlock on the road.
