Anti-NATO supply petition filed in SC

LAHORE: A petition was filed in the Lahore Registry of the Supreme Court of Pakistan (SCP) to stop the NATO supplies here on Monday, ARY News reports.

The petition was filed by Barrister Zafarullah in the court today. It is stated in the petition that dangerous arsenal and illegal goods are bring brought into the country. It is also stated in the petition that political groups are being provided weapons from the containers that went missing.

According to the petitioner, the highways of the country are also being adversely affected whereas no taxes are being collected from the United States and its coalition partners.

No importance was given to the United Nations (UN) anti-drone resolution in Pakistan, it was further stated.

It is pleaded to the court that they should stop the NATO supplies to address the terrorism and to pressurize the US to stop the drone attacks.
