APFMA warns for countrywide strike, if demands not fulfilled
LAHORE: All Pakistan Flour Mills Association announced to observe country wide 3-hour symbolic strike from tomorrow against Sindh government's restriction for the Wheat movement, ARY News reported.
A grand meeting of All Pakistan Flour Mills Association's (APFMA) central executive committee held in Lahore on Monday.
While addressing a press conference, Central Chairman of APFMA Mian Mehmood said Sindh government has imposed the illegal restrictions over the movement of Wheat and Flour.
"The constitution of the country allows to do free trade, under such condition Sindh government's imposed sanctions are unjustified", he added.
Mian Mehmood said flour mills of Karachi and Hyderabad has been observing strike for the last one week. He warned that strike will spread countrywide, if the provincial government didn't withdraw the unconstitutional restrictions.
“We oppose the restriction on inter-provincial and inter-district movement of wheat products in the country”, he said.
