APML holds demonstration expressing solidarity with Musharraf
ISLAMABAD: All Pakistan Muslim League (APML) has staged a demonstration here on Friday in favor of General (R) Pervez Musharraf and demanded the Government to end the cases against him – ARY News reports.
According to details, APML staged demonstration in front of the National Press Club, at which a large number of APML workers and officials participated. Protestors were carrying banners and placards with slogans expressing solidarity with the former President.
Talking to media on this occasion, APML leader, Dr Amjad demanded the Government to end the cases against Pervez Musharraf, which are based upon political victimization.
He added that the formation of the special court hearing the treason trial, is illegal and unconstitutional.
The APML official told that the demonstrations are being held in 10 different cities of the country simultaneously and if required then the scope of the protest can be widened further.
He also demanded the Government to exclude the name of Pervez Musharraf from the Exit Control List (ECL).
