Apprehending power pilferers is national agenda, says Abid

FAISALABAD: State Minister for Water and Power, Abid Sher Ali has said that apprehending power pilferers is a national agenda of the Government and line losses worth billions in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) is an injustice with Pakistan – ARY News reports.

The statement was made while taking to media at a cultural event organized at Agriculture University, Faisalabad for the students from other provinces.

Abid Sher Ali reiterated that identification of electricity pilferers in KP is factual and vowed to accomplish the drive against power theft.

He added that preventing billions of rupees theft, new dams can be constructed.

The Minister said that a billionaire in Punjab is behind the bars for power pilferage.

He claimed that the Government is taking measures to end sense of deprivation from backward districts of all the provinces, whilst Balochistan quota in higher education institutions has been doubled and tuition fees of Baloch students have also been relinquished.
