QUETTA: An armed clash between two factions of the same tribe in Balochistan’s Killa Abdullah on Sunday evening claimed three lives and injured six others.

The fight broke out during a Jirga, which was underway to settle a tribal dispute. However, the reason behind the clash could not be determined immediately, officials said.

Haji Lala Khan Badizai, a son of a tribal elder, was reportedly among the dead. All the injured were rushed to Quetta for medical assistance.

The levies personnel, along with other law enforcement agencies, reached the crime scene to patrol the area to maintain law and order, suspecting rise in tensions in the wake of the clash.
