Armed men’s attempt to attack school in Charsadda foiled

At least three armed culprits riding a motorbike opened fire outside a school. Sources said the attackers attempted to enter a school but locals on the spot resisted the move, resultantly the culprits fled.

Some reports also say that the attackers had escaped from the scene after retaliatory firing by area residents. The attackers fled the scene on foot.

Shortly after the incident, heavy contingent of police reached the spot and cordoned off the area. Army personnel also arrived and conducted a search operation in the vicinity.

Meanwhile in another incident, a schoolteacher and a security guard were injured in firing by unidentified armed men outside a school in Rawalpindi.

The attackers were aboard a car who targeted the school building with gunshots and sped away.

The injured schoolteacher and guard were moved to a nearby hospital. – ARY News
