Army is upset with the treason allegations on me: Musharraf

TOP NEWS

ISLAMABAD: Former President of Pakistan Gen. Rtd. Pervez Musharraf said on Sunday treason case against him is a reprisal and Pakistan Army is upset over his trial, ARY News reported.

Pervez Musharraf denouncing treason charges against him told media that the whole army is upset with the treason allegations.

Ex-Chief of Army Staff  in his first comments to international media since he was put under house arrest in April said that “I have led the army from the front and trials against me made the Army disturb.”

“Totally with me on this issue”, he added.

The way this tribunal was formed, which involved the prime minister and the ex-chief justice, this itself smacks a little bit of a dispute,” said Pervez Musharraf.

The case against Pervez Musahrraf under Article-6 is being heard. He wasn’t able to attend court proceedings due to security concerns and the court has summoned him on January 1.
