Two army men martyred in South Waziristan operation
RAWALPINDI: Two servicemen embraced martyrdom while six militants were killed in exchange of fire during an Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) in village Spina Mela near Ladha in South Waziristan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, the killed terrorists included “high value target terrorist Nanakar involved in killing of local population and Maliks.”
Havaldar Razzaq Khan and Havaldar Mumtaz Hussain embraced martyrdom during the exchange of fire.
The Intelligence Based Operation (IBO) was launched under Operation Raddul Fasaad on reports about presence of militants who had entered the area morphing into returning temporarily displaced persons.
Weapons and ammunition were recovered along with communication sets through which terrorists would communicate with their handlers across the border in Afghan province Paktia.
