‘Army using 7 helicopters, 100 boats for rescue in flood-hit areas’

LAHORE: The relief operation by Pakistan Army in flood-affected areas is continuing in full swing with complete utilization of all resources, ARY News reported Thursday.

According to the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), the army is continuing relief activities in Athara Hazari, Jhang, Chiniot, Ahmadpur Sial and Pir Kot.

The ISPR statement said army had evacuated about 4,000 people from different flood affected areas.

The army is using 7 helicopters and 100 boats for the rescue operation. It has distributed 35 tonnes of food among the flood affectees.

Corps Commander Multan is directly monitoring the flood situation in Multan.
