Article Six should be imposed on Musharraf's supporters: Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri

TORONTO: President of Pakistani Awami Tehreek (PAT) Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri has said that a retaliation process will take place if the former President and Army Chief General (Retd.) Pervez Musharraf is tried alone in the treason case, ARY News reports on Wednesday.

In a statement, Dr. Tahir-ul-Qadri said that the law should be equal for everyone. He said that Article 6 of the constitution should be imposed on the supporters of the former President including the former Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry.

He added that the judicial system of Pakistan will be seen with a suspicious eye if the trial against Musharraf in a revengeful manner. He stated that those judges should also be tried who termed the seven years as legal.

On the other hand, leader of Tehreek-e-Sooba Hazara Baba Haider Zaman had said that his party fully supports the statement of PAT Chairman of creating new provinces and he has voiced the rights of the troubled nation.
