Faizullah Khan, a Karachi based reporter associated with ARY News channel, was convicted by a Jalalabad court in Afghanistan to serve a four year jail for illegal entry in the country.
The orders of release of Faizullah Khan were issued by the Nangarhar High Court in the eastern province of Afghanistan on Sunday.
On his arrival in Pakistan, Faizullah Khan was greeted by CEO ARY Network Salman Iqbal and representatives of journalist bodies. He was welcomed with flower garlands and sweetmeats.
Faizullah thanked ARY CEO and its management, journalistic bodies and all those who prayed for his early release from Afghan detention. He also thanked Almighty Allah for his release.
Faizullah’s father said that he was speechless by the return of his sons. He thanked those who made this day possible for him. Faizullah’s wife thanked Almighty Allah that the family had to see this day.
