ARY News speeds up efforts for Faizullah Khan's return
KARACHI: ARY News has stepped up efforts for the return of its reporter Faizullah Khan, who went missing while reporting from the north-western tribal areas of Pakistan. The media organization has also given a formal application to the Afghan Ambassador in this regard – ARY News reports.
According to details, Faizullah Khan went missing while reporting from the tribal areas, ARY News management is trying hard for the recovery of its missing reporter, through backdoor channels. Soon after Faizullah Khan went missing, ARY News team from Peshawar, Quetta and Islamabad has been busy in making efforts for his safe return, efforts were stepped up further when it was revealed that the reporter was arrested by Afghan authorities, whereas Afghan officials have also been consulted on the issue.
In this regard, ARY News Peshawar Bureau Chief, Zia ul Haq also held a meeting with the Afghan Ambassador, earlier today and presented him a formal application regarding Faizullah Khan. It was stated in the application that the correspondent went missing, while fulfilling his professional responsibilities and Afghan authorities have also been provided evidences pertaining to the matter.
Zia ul Haq further told that the hosts of Faizullah Khan also got worried, when the news of his disappearance surfaced on media, that too when the backdoor contacts were being made.
Moreover, the ARY News management and team have vowed to continue efforts for the safe return of its correspondent.
