Ashrafi demands Gov't to settle IDPs of North Waziristan
LAHORE: Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council (PUC), Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi has demanded the Government to make arrangements for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) from North Waziristan and other tribal areas who are migrating in realm of a possible military operation – ARY News reports.
Addressing the attendees of a workshop organized by Ilm o Amal Foundation here, Hafiz Tahir Ashrafi said that the world will remain deprived of peace until it is not restored in Pakistan. He added that the dream of a neighboring country to destabilize Pakistan, will never come true.
Ashrafi said that ulema and religious scholars have decided to make Pakistan a peaceful state.
The Chairman PUC while appealing Taliban and other extremist groups to quit suicide attacks and bombings, urged the Prime Minister to play his role in negotiating with these groups.
