Assistant to U.S. President Obama lauds Pakistan’s role in war against terror

RAWALPINDI: Special Assistant to United States President for South Asian Affairs Dr. Peter Lavoy met Army Chief General Raheel Sharif at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi, ARY News reports.

According to a press release by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), General Raheel Sharif and Dr. Peter Lavoy discussed the affairs of mutual interests and the situation regarding Afghanistan.

Lavoy was accompanied by Mr. Richard G Olson, US Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr P. Michael Mickinley and US Ambassador to Afghanistan, the press release stated.

Lavoy lauded the efforts of Pakistan Army in the ongoing Operation Zarb-e-Azb and the country’s role in the war against terror.
