ISLAMABAD: Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamat (ASWJ) General Secretary of Islamabad, Mufti Muneer Muavia along with another ASWJ official Asad Mehmood has been gunned down by unknown assailants in I-8 sector here on Friday – ARY News reports.
According to details, Mufti Muneer Muavia was on his way to Golra, after administering Friday prayers that some unknown hitmen on motorbikes opened fire at his vehicle registered as LXJ 6952.
As a consequence, the ASWJ General Secretary and another official along with him were killed on the spot.
Meanwhile, a large number of ASWJ workers have gathered at the site, who are protesting against the killing of Mufti Muneer and Asad Mehmood.
