ASWJ leader shot dead in Islamabad
ISLAMABAD: A leader of the Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat (ASWJ) Muhammad Sohail Muavia was killed on late Monday in firing in the federal capital, ARY News reported.
Muavia was the secretary general of the ASWJ Rawalpindi chapter.
Unidentified armed men opened fire on ASWJ Rawalpindi president Mufti Tanvir Alim's car near Zia Mosque in Islamabad's Thana Shehzad Town.
However, Alim was not in the car at the time of the attack.
Two other people were also injured in the incident. The deceased was later taken to the PIMS hospital.
