LONDON: Roger Federer from Switzerland and Novak Djokovic from Serbia qualified for the semi finals of ATP World Tour Finals on Saturday, ARY News reports.
In the round-robin stages of the tournament, Djokovic defeated Richard Gasquet from France. Djokovic won the opening set 7-6 whereas Gasquet won the second set 6-4. The Serbian won the deciding set 6-3 to claim a spot in the semi-finals.
On the other hand, Roger Federer defeated Argentine Juan Martin del Petro in three sets to qualify for the semi finals.
The Swiss loss the first set 6-4 to del Petro. While playing exquisite shots, Federer made a comeback into the match and won the next two sets 7-6 and 7-5 to qualify for the round of four in the tournament.
