AWARAN: Unknown armed men have abducted a levies man and two polio workers after an exchange of fire with the security team of the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Awaran – ARY News reports.
According to levies sources, unknown miscreants opened fire at the convoy of DC Awaran, Abdul Rasheed Baloch while he was returning to the district after administering polio campaign in different areas. Security team of the DC Awaran retaliated with counter fire at the miscreants, however armed culprits managed to escape from there.
During the exchange of fire, DC Abdul Rasheed Baloch remained safe, yet the miscreants whisked away a levies man and two polio workers along with them.
Soon after the incident, security forces surrounded the vicinity and lodged a search operation to recover abducted people.
