AUCKLAND: New Zealand lead India by 373 runs as India were struggling at 130/4 at stumps on day two of the Auckland Test here at Eden Park on Friday, ARY News reports.
The home side was all out on 503 runs. Kiwi batsman Brendon McCullum was the stand out player with his 224 run knock followed by Kane Williamson's score of 113 runs. Left hand batsman Corey Anderson made 77 runs.
Indian pacer Ishant Sharma grabbed six for 134 in his 33.4 overs. Left arm swinger Zaheer Khan took two wickets whereas Ravindra Jadeja and Mohammad Shami took one wicket each.
In reply, India's top order fell like a pack of cards. They lost their four wickets at the score of 91 runs. Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane stabilized the Indian innings to an extent.
Trent Boult took two wickets whereas Tim Southee and Neil Wagner dismissed one batsman in the day.
Rohit Sharma (68*) and Ajinkya Rahane (23*) will resume the third day's proceedings tomorrow morning.
